From lead artist, Pyaré, SPACED OUT is an underwater VR experience using the revolutionary VR waterproof headset, DiVR by Ballast Technologies. It invites visitors to float on water while breathing with a snorkel, giving an illusion of being immersed onto the lunar surface. SPACED OUT transports the visitors from earth to the moon, from water to space and from the first to the third person leaving body behind, to reach the moon and then its hollow center. The trip crosses in a tunnel of lines and points, a trajectory of the Earth on the surface of the moon, where the last Apollo 11 mission landed. SPACED OUT’s narration is composed by original audio archives of the communication between the three astronauts and the mission control. The running audio track clashes with the abstract 3D visual representation of what the 19th century writers believed the moon looked like. The piece is like a magic trick: simulating absence of gravity it bypasses the brain’s predispositions for an immersion of all senses.

The avatars are deliberately retro-futuristic harking back to the early days of videogame culture when we were all first asked to 'Choose your player'. Each avatar design features hand drawn frame by frame animation and futuristic motifs suggesting the avatars might have powers unique to the Metaverse environment and not bound to the laws of our physical world.

Highlights from the last year include the Neonz.xyz - a generative art project, that pushed our team to connect our ecosystem with web 3, paving the way towards an AR Metaverse. The Traitz - generative art tool - is a powerful tool allowing artists to jam with the machine to generate thousands of variations of their own art on the fly. He also shares how he and augmented reality programmer Lukas Karluk started covering the world in augmented art and sharing these tools with other digital artists. Sutu Co-Founded EyeJack with Lukasz Karluk after the success of their AWE-winning Augmented Reality art book, ‘Prosthetic Reality‘. The book was a first of its kind celebrating augmented art from 45 artists around the world. The company has grown to support over 10000 artists and AR enthusiasts on their EyeJack Creator platform.
In 2021, EyeJack launched Prosthetic Reality v:2 featuring 65 artists and a Web 3 layer, allowing NFT versions of that art to be purchased directly through the AR interface.

Over the years, EyeJack has been fortunate to work with some of the biggest IPs and brands on the planet to deliver exciting AR activations, including the Spider-Man: Into the Spidey-Verse AR activation at D-Con. For this project EyeJack worked closely with the Sony team to use AR to reconstruct iconic scenes from the Academy award winning animation - showing storyboard sketches, to animatics all the way to achieve the final animated sequence.

We presented the project as a giant sized comic book, paying hommage to the original format that launched it all, whilst simultaneously creating a ‚Metaverse‘-style experience that resonnated closely with the central theme of this new Spider-Man story - Into the Spidey-verse.
During his talk, Sutu invited the TED audience to create a digital glyph that he then wove into a magical metaverse tapestry, delighting even the most techno-hesitant.Each audience member accessed a web interface to create a simple symmetrical drawing . Each drawing was then collated into a eral-time floating AR starfield. The Metaverse is a new frontier for our collective digital culture. This interactive TED experience was a simple gesture towards making an accessible and welcoming Metaverse that allows us to reflect on the relationship between digital art and our physical lives.
Neonz AR is the first project of the Sutuverse - Sutu's own Metaverse! Sutu is exploring ways where owning Neonz will unlock future content in AR, VR and Web. NEONZ AR combines web3 with AR to dynamically load any one of the 10000 Neonz in Real-time, and have them light up the real world as interactive neon signs. Neonz AR also introduces Lightfieldz, an NFT inventory item that unlocks AR world effects.
The next installment of the Sutuverse is a WebGL explorative game world. This interactive world will flex the true power of the Neonz and Lightfieldz NFTs to unlock gameplay, prizes, Neonz lore and more!
